Milwaukee: five Fall favorites, entree edition

Because who doesn’t like fall and scrolling through lists of food.

Sweater season is in full swing, ladies and gents, and the hankr team is pumped about it. So pumped, that we’ve made a list including some of our fall favorites below, and we want the world to see it. These dishes make us feel warm and cozy amongst the crisp Autumn air. Go check 'em out!

Braised Pork Shoulder from Rumpus Room

This perhaps, is the most tender pork shoulder we have ever had. It simply falls apart in your mouth. Top that with the sweet potato puree, broccolini, and cider sauce and we've got all the makings for quite possibly the most Fall dish in Milwaukee.

Scallop Risotto from Pier 106

Just looking at these perfectly seared scallops accompanied by carrot saffron risotto is leaving us with a puddle of drool on our keyboards. No surprise here that this dish tastes even better than it looks. 10/10.

Bheda Lamb Shank from the cheel

This dish falls into our Fall-favorites list because it makes us feel warm inside. Really, anything from the cheel will provide you with that home-made-y / comfort food taste we so desperately seek in Fall. The subtle hints of ginger, cinnamon, cumin and coriander will blow your socks off, like leaves in the wind.

Couscous from Casablanca

A stew of eggplant, zucchini, cauliflower, carrots, onions and chickpeas. Served in a tomato sauce over a bed of couscous

Casablanca makes use of traditional Fall harvest vegetables and transforms them into a dish that will make you forget you aren't eating meat. This hearty stew is amplified by the fluffy bed of couscous it's laid upon.

Mushroom Smothered Walleye from Story Hill BKC

This rich, robust dish will, without a doubt, ease that frosty bite in the Fall air. The oyster mushroom and sherry cream sauce, Montamoré cheese, and brussels sprout slaw create a harmony of flavor that screams "comfort food".

Well, Milwaukee, you've got a lot of eating to do this Fall. Stop procrastinating and start making your way through our list, you won't regret it!

If you have a particular food mood you'd like to see highlighted, let us know in the comments- we go above and beyond in our research- because we care.
