This week, the introduction of hankr to the people of Milwaukee picked up speed, fans made their feelings known, and a few more Third Ward favorites prepared to join the app. Here's a look at the week that was:
On Wednesday, the always-in-the-know Lori Fredrich from OnMilwaukee.com shared a review of hankr with her readers. Read it here: hankr: New dining app puts food photos at the fore
Proving that news travels quickly, by Thursday evening hankr was being broadcast into living rooms around the city on WTMJ's "The Now". John and Al from hankr and Christine Beuchert Williams from the Marcus Corporation had a chance to tell the story of how it all started, what it means for restaurants, and where it all could go. Following the broadcast, we heard so many great comments from new hankr fans. One email stood out for its simple proclamation: "This is a godsend for couples who can't agree on what to eat!" (Insiders know that this was one of the primary motivations behind the development of hankr to begin with, so this comment drew high-fives across the team.)
Meanwhile, one of our photographers, Jeff, was busy revisiting Kil@wat and making stops at Water Buffalo and Swig to start getting dozens of new dishes ready for the app (and the hearts and minds of hungry people throughout Milwaukee). Early reports from Jeff included lots of OMGs and "get in my belly". Look for those new items in the hankr app within a few days!
