The Pie Sessions | Advance Pie Crust and Savory Fillings: How to Make a Pasty at Palomino

Learn the tricks to making your very own delicious pies with Honeypie co-owner and Executive Pie Maker, Valeri Lucks. Held inside our bakeshop kitchen at our brother cafe, Palomino, these very hands-on classes will guide you through a variety of different aspects of pie making and give you a peek into the life of a bakeshop. In each class you will bake your own mini pie to take home. There will be lots of room for questions and answers during each class so come with all of your crust conundrums and filling inquiries . Classes are approximately 2-3 hours and are limited to 10 people. Class requires that you stand most of the time and work at a table in a working professional kitchen.

The Milwaukee Urban League Guild 6th Annual Chili Cook Off at the Harley Davidson University Building

Saturday, March 25th

You're invited to one of the hottest events of the year - The Milwaukee Urban League Guild's 6th Annual Chili Cook-Off Fundraiser! The event will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017, 3:00 – 6:00 pm at the Harley-Davidson University Auditorium, 6th floor, 3800 W. Juneau Avenue.

Some of the best chili chefs in Milwaukee will be competing for bragging rights and the coveted title of Milwaukee Urban League Guild 2017 Chili Cook-Off Champion.

Wines from the South of France Wine Tasting at Cafe Grace

Learn the tricks to making flaky, buttery, from-scratch biscuits with Honeypie co-owner and Executive Pie Maker, Valeri Lucks. Held inside our bakeshop kitchen at our brother cafe, Palomino, this hands-on class will guide you through the tricks to making the best, handmade, buttermilk biscuits in town. Class is approximately 2 hours and is limited to 10 people. Class will take place inside our working kitchen - class requires standing for the majority of the time while working at a prep table.

The Milwaukee Oyster Roast at The Black Swan

Saturday, April 1st

The 14th annual Milwaukee Oyster Roast is one of the more unique events you'll attend in 2017. Popular in the "low country", oyster roasts involve copious amounts of freshly-steamed oysters, beer, music, and fun! Food is provided by Maxie's. All proceeds from the oyster roast help support Wisconsinites touched by blood cancers.

Tourney Time at ABV Social

Watching all of the NCAA basketball tournament games at ABV Social could score you a mammoth TV.

Five remarkable stories about Milwaukee's ascent from a lush river valley to an industrial might will be paired with five memorable courses emulating the European cuisines of the time. Tales of ambition, adventure, and fortune will be brought to life at Milwaukee's historic restaurant Karl Ratzsch, featuring the culinary talents of two-time James Beard Award semi-finalist Thomas Hauck.
